A- The benefits include the following:
A- Mobile grooming is a private one-on-one service unlike going to a salon. We come to you, and once your pet enters our truck we cater to them during the whole process. Your pet is worked on from start to finish without any distractions. This limits the amount of pets we can schedule each day, therefore the price reflects the time spent with your pet.
A- The cost is based on several factors, including: the package you would like for your dog, the breed of the dog, the condition of the coat, and the pet's behavior. All pets are different. As hard as you try to describe your dog, their hair, behavior, and what you'd like done over the phone, without seeing your dog or meeting them, we cannot give you an exact price over the phone- only an educated approximation.
A- Because it hurts, A LOT! It's not fair to the dog! We will try our best to save as much as the coat as possible and use a deep conditioner that works to detangle the hair. But brushing out matting also makes your pet dread the grooming process, as they associate being in pain with it each time. We will always choose humanity over vanity. If the dog has a mat or two, that is a different story- we will do our best to remove the mat and continue on with the haircut.
A- If you need to cancel/ reschedule we ask for more than 48 hours notice, because we reserve the time for you specifically and doing to our routes being specific to towns and timing of the grooming appointment we require more time to fill the spot. Short notice makes it difficult for us to find someone leading to a loss of income. If the cancellation happens within less than 48 hours (business days) then we charge a 50% of the service. If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours or less then we need to charge 100% of the service fee. We count on a full route for our income. If we do not have 48 hours notice, there will be a cancellation fee. Thank you for being considerate of your time. We do understand that emergencies happen and can discuss the situation if this occurs.
A- That's the beauty of mobile grooming- no! Once we've met and we're on the same page as to what you would like for a haircut, then you do not need to be present for appointments if your schedule requires otherwise. Latch Key service is always available!
A- We work on your pet as soon as we bring them into the mobile spa. Most dogs take us anywhere from 40 minutes to an 90 minutes for the bath package. However, our appointments can vary for a variety of factors: what package you'd like, your dogs breed, length of coat, and their temperament. Once we meet your dog and get to know them we will be able to give you a more accurate time frame.
A- In order to maintain a healthy and manageable coat, it is recommended that you have your dog groomed every 4, 6, or 8 weeks. This will keep your dogs fur or hair from getting painfully matted. Dogs that shed a lot will also be better maintained by a regular schedule and shedding will be diminished if groomed regularly. Every dog is a little different, and each owner's lifestyle is different, based on our knowledge this is the best frequency to keep your pets skin, coat, nails, and ears in great health!
A- Our job is to help you maintain your dog's coat properly. Once we groom your pet, we can give you guidance on how often your dog should be groomed. By going on a recurring cycle, you always have your spot reserved on our schedule.
Dogs that are groomed on a regular schedule view grooming as routine and part of their life, and not only accept it but come to enjoy it. Regular grooming is essential to having healthy skin and coat, which prevents mats from forming.
